Safety Compliance

Duty holders and customers have the right to expect that providers responsible for delivering services to them will plan and carry out their operations safely and deliver those services in accordance to specification.

Ocean Technical Safety Services have years of experience in the delivery of high risk operations. We carry out third party audits based either on existing audit protocols or customer specification. Audits are delivered by ISO 45001 Lead Auditors who will work on behalf of the duty holder / customer to ensure that operations and installations are delivered safely.

BS 8681:2024 Personal Fall Protection Equipment Supplier Audit Services

Fall protection anchors are safety critical items of equipment but with the

exception of conforming to design specifications and installation codes of practice, there is little in the way of governance to qualify a system designer, installer or inspector of this equipment as competent.

Ocean Technical Safety Services Ltd work on behalf of the duty holder (or vessel owner) carrying out audits on installation providers including system

designers, installers and inspectors.

Our ISO45001 Lead Auditors work to the requirements of BS8681:2024 Personal Fall Protection Equipment – Anchor Systems – Specification for provider competence. This specification ensures that those who claim

compliance to BS 7883: 2019 Personal Fall Protection Equipment – Anchor Systems – System design, installation and inspection – Code of practice are fully meeting its requirements.

By carrying out due diligence on your suppliers at the design and installation stages, you are taking the first step to protecting against accidents that may arise in the workplace from poor design and installation quality standards.
